The event was attended by Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son and Vice President of Vietnam Badminton Federation Le Tan Dat.

The tournament attracted more than 100 athletes of 8 teams from provinces, cities and sectors, including: Bac Giang, Dong Nai, Hai Phong, Lam Dong, Thai Binh, Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and the People's Army. The athletes competed in men's team and women's team categories. The tournament is expected to end on May 17.

The event attracted a number of national-level grandmasters such as: Nguyen Thuy Linh (Dong Nai), Nguyen Tien Minh, Vu Thi Trang (Ho Chi Minh City); Nguyen Tien Tuan (Hanoi); Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Nguyen Dinh Manh (Lam Dong).

The Bac Giang badminton team has 18 outstanding athletes (Pham Van Hai, Than Van Anh, Tran Thi Phuong Thuy, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan and Tran Quoc Khanh) participating in two categories with the target of winning one medal.

Two Bac Giang athletes compete at ASIAD 19

BAC GIANG - The 19th Asian Games (ASIAD 19) will be held in China from September 23 to October 8. The Vietnam Sports Delegation registered 337 athletes to compete in 31 games at the event, including track and field athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh and wushu player Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy from Bac Giang province.

National Individual Badminton Championships in Bac Giang lures over 120 players

(BGO) - Yonex Sunrise Cup National Individual Badminton Championships 2023 officially kicked off on August 29 at Bac Giang provincial Gymnasium. The event was jointly held by Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Bac Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Son attended the event and encouraged the players.

Nguyen Thi Oanh set her personal best in the women’s 1,500m at the World Athletics Championships but it was still not enough to get her through the heats.

Bac Giang athletes win gold at HongKong Shuttlecock Open

(BGO) - The third Hong Kong Shuttlecock Open wrapped up on July 31 in Hong Kong (China). Vietnam Shuttlecock team won 4 gold and 3 silver medals with great participation from Bac Giang athletes.
