More than 190,000 labourers resume normal work at industrial parks

BAC GIANG – As of February 19 (the 10th day of the first lunar month), more than 190,000 laborers resumed normal work at the industrial parks in Bac Giang province after Tet holiday, reaching nearly 100%, reported the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Since the 6th day of lunar New Year, many enterprises have resumed production activities. Previously, 5,500 workers at 27 enterprises in local industrial parks registered to work through Tet to ensure the progress of orders. Currently, the businesses still have orders and maintain stable jobs for workers.

To meet the requirements of expanding production, at this time many businesses need to recruit a large number of workers, particularly about 20,000 people are needed in the first quarter alone. Typical employers are Foxconn Technology Group, Luxshare - ICT Company Limited (Co.,Ltd), New Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd., Vietnam Lens Technology Co., Ltd., Seojin Vietnam Co., Ltd., Ce Link Viet Co., Ltd among others.

The Provincial People's Committee has directed competent sectors and units to deploy many solutions to support businesses in recruiting enough human resources to serve production and business after the Tet holiday by promoting propaganda and information to workers; coordinating and connecting with functional units in the provinces to advise and introduce jobs; promoting to attract workers from outside the province to work in Bac Giang.
