Labour export targets high quality market
In 2023, Luc Nam district had 623 people working abroad, about 56 percent exceeding the target and up 14 percent over the same period last year. The locality currently has about 7,000 guest workers.

According to the district Division of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, labor export helped people have jobs with high income. The poverty rate this year decreased to 1.14 percent. Some villages like Doan Tung, Luong Ban (Dong Phu commune); Dong Thinh (Tam Di commune); Dong Cong (Bao Son commune); Nhieu Thi residential group (Doi Ngo town) each has hundreds of people working abroad.
In 2023, the 2,200 Bac Giang labourers were exported to work abroad, an increase of 15 percent compared to the previous year, exceeding the set plan. To date, Bac Giang province has about 16,500 guest workers, mostly working in the fields of industry, construction and agricultural production.

According to statistics from the Provincial Steering Committee for Labor Export, the average income of guest worker is about 22-25 million VND (about 1,000 USD) per month. Hoang Van Thang, Head of the Labor and Employment Division (Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) said besides traditional countries, the sector focuses on exploiting new markets such as some European countries and Australia. Therefore, workers are required to meet strict requirements when applying, especially in terms of foreign language, vocational skills and working discipline.
Last year, localities and functional sectors organized many transaction sessions and job fairs, creating conditions for many businesses to introduce and advise on labor markets for people.
To achieve high results in labor export, branches, functional units and localities in the province have developed plans and focused on implementing many solutions. Luc Nam, Yen Dung, Luc Ngan districts focus on propagating preferential policies and orientations to create jobs through labor export of the State to help people understand clearly and make appropriate choices.
In 2024, the province continues paying due attention to labor export. According to Tran Van Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department continues advising and proposing to party committees and authorities to strengthen leadership and direction; well forecast the overseas labor market, promptly inform and orient local workers to participate in the appropriate market.

The Department coordinates with relevant units, districts and cities to propose additional support mechanisms so that workers can easily access preferential loans and have the opportunity to participate in quality markets while further expanding the foreign labor market associated with renovating and improving the quality of education - training, vocational skills, foreign languages and legal knowledge.
Also the province prioritizes to send workers to work in safe and high-income markets.
