Khuon Than lake

Vinh Nghiem pagoda

Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is designed with 4 main buildings in the middle of a large space. It is surrounded by rows of green bamboo trees. The pagoda is a place to worship Buddha and three ancestors of Truc Lam Zen Sect under the Tran Dynasty. So, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is called the first official headquarters of Vietnamese Buddhism.

Up to now, the pagoda still preserves many valuable artifacts such as Buddha statues, stone stele, parallel sentences, worship objects... and especially a Woodblock warehouse with 3,050 carved wooden blocks that have been recognized by UNESCO as World's documentary heritage.
