Music video released to inspire patriotism and national pride

Updated: 18:12, 31/08/2024

A music video (MV) titled ‘Em Be Viet Nam’ (Vietnamese Children) has recently been released to mark the 79th anniversary of the National Day of Vietnam (September 2, 1945-2024).

The rap style MV, produced by Gia Dinh Lon (Big Family) Brothers, features the voice of kid rapper Xe Xe, the stage name of six-year-old Nguyen Trung Dung.

Music video released to inspire patriotism and national pride.

The MV features the image of a war veteran surrounded by children, in which the elder soldier symbolises patriotism, revolutionary tradition, and culture of the predecessors while the children represent the future generation who have the responsibility of preserving and promoting their ancestors’ culture and tradition.

Written by young rapper IndieK, the MV’s lyric quoted a verse ‘Who Loves President Ho Chi Minh More Than Children’ from the song of the same name by veteran composer Phong Nha and Uncle Ho’s five teachings to children.

Modern rap melodies are harmoniously combined with folklore music, making the song youthful and imbued with Vietnamese identity.

The MV conveys a profound message that although times have changed, patriotism and national pride have always been handed down and cultivated in the hearts of generations of Vietnamese people.
