Nearly 72.5 billion VND donated to help Bac Giang overcome storm No. 3’s aftermath
BAC GIANG - By 4:00 p.m. on September 19, the Mobilization Committee of Bac Giang Provincial Relief Fund (Mobilization Committee) had received nearly 72.5 billion VND (over 3.1 million USD) from agencies, units, businesses, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to support Bac Giang people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3.
From this fund, the Mobilization Committee has allocated the first phase of support to 8 districts of Luc Ngan, Son Dong, Luc Nam, Yen The, Yen Dung, Hiep Hoa, Tan Yen, Lang Giang with a total amount of 13 billion VND.

On September 20, the Mobilization Committee continues to discuss the plan for allocating the second phase of support.
Some typical donors included Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation (500 million VND), JA Solar Vietnam Co., Ltd. (300 million VND), Ha Bac Petroleum Company (100 million VND)...
Along with that, many central agencies, departments, branches, provinces and cities also joined hands to support Bac Giang to overcome difficulties.
According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Search and Rescue, storm No. 3 and its circulation killed 2 people, injured 7 people, damaged more than 3,200 houses as well as tens of thousands of hectares of rice, crops, forestry and fruit trees while many livestock and poultry were swept away by floods.
BAC GIANG - On September 14, a working delegation from Lam Dong province led by Pham S, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited Bac Giang province to encourage and support people affected by storm No. 3.
On September 13, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) handed 700 gender- and disability-sensitive household kits to Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to support communities in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai, which has been severely affected by Typhoon Yagi.

BAC GIANG- Typhoon Yagi has triggered widespread floods, isolated many localities, caused loss of life and assets in northern province of Bac Giang. Many organizations, units and individuals have joined hands with the entire political system to implement a number of voluntary activities towards the flood-hit areas to share difficulties with local people.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Thanh Binh hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 11 for Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki, who delivered a message of sympathy from Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh regarding the recent impact of Typhoon Yagi.
