This annual event introduces the unique features, attractions, and outstanding values of Ninh Binh's tourism resources, especially the World Cultural and Natural Heritage - Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. The event focuses on activities taking place in the Tam Coc - Bich Dong area, along both sides of Ngo Dong River, on the Dinh Cac - Hang Ca - Hang Hai - Hang Ba tourist route.
The highlight of this event is the opening ceremony, which is expected to take place at 7.30 am on May 27, 2023, at the vivid and realistic stage set up in the rice fields at Hang (Cave) No.2 area of Tam Coc tour, which will help visitors get a close-up and vivid real-life experience.
Tam Coc Field is attractive not only from the "hand" of the Creator but also because it has the interference between nature and people, between the silence of heaven and earth and the livelihood activities of indigenous people.
Coming in this year's "Golden colour of Tam Coc - Trang An" week in particular, visitors can admire a recreation of the painting "Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet" (Carp looks at the moon) on a more than 9,500-square meter rice field.
In feng shui, carp has great meaning, is a symbol of luck, good things. Therefore, the painting "Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet" shows aspiration, effort and strong will to overcome all difficulties to achieve success.
Through the painting "Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet", local people pray for a peaceful life, and a bountiful harvest.
To create the picture, a farmer in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, joined with experts to carefully calculate the timing for transplanting, forming shapes to create a unique artistic picture in the middle of Ngo Dong River.
The picture also carries the desired message about the companionship between the government and the people involved in preserving the cultural and natural values of the heritage to exploit community tourism. This is also an important basis for Ninh Binh to develop sustainable tourism.
Taking place over eight days from May 27 to June 4, 2023, the tourism week is expected to welcome over 20,000 visitors.
Visitors to Ninh Binh on this occasion will have a chance to participate in many interesting activities such as visiting the walking street to learn about the traditional handicraft products and OCOP products of the province; the Tam Coc Golden Season photography tour; and an art exhibition.
