The Permanent Vice Secretary of the Party Committee in the town Nguyen Van The said: “Phon Xuong is the political and socio-economic center of the district with many infrastructure projects under construction. In 2021 and 2022, local authority reclaimed the land for 13 projects so the volume of work was huge. To gain high result in land clearance, the town always defined mass mobilization as the top priority task which was done thoroughly”.

Thanks to good mass mobilization, the upgrading project of national road No.17 passing Phon Xuong town is completed on schedule.

In addition to “soft solution”, local party, authority, fatherland front and organizations focused on accelerating the mass mobilization movement, promoting the people's right to master in the process of implementing investment projects.

Accordingly, local authority directed regular communication on the broadcasting system, party and people meetings with the support of the officials and party members in charge of each areas. More exchanges were held between the leader of local authority and resident so as to receive the expectation of the locals, especially the households affected by project execution.

Typically, the expanding and upgrading project of national road No.17 from Nha Nam town (Tan Yen district) to Phon Xuong town (Yen The district) or Residential Area No.1 Project in Phon XUong Center Residential Area were executed but some households till disagreed with the compensation programme for the site work.

To solve this issue, the local Party Committee directed the People’s Committee to cooperate with competent agencies and investors to conduct several communication and persuasion campaigns as well as meeting to discuss the settlement. In 2022, all households agreed to hand over the plane, helping solve the project delayed schedule.

Defining that land clearance directly caused impact on the benefit of many families with reclaimed lands, the town Party Committee focused on directing the whole political system to join hand in the process and calling for the central role from each officials and party members in mass mobilization.

Thanks to the flexible and creative implementation with key role of officials and party members, the land clearance task was done effectively thus most of the big projects in the district were executed smoothly.

Particularly, the projects to revamp and upgrade national road No.17, provincial road No.292, build Kosy residential area, road to Tan Hiep commune, road from the town to Dong Lac commune, concrete road in Hoi residential area were completed. Regarding the project to build temple worshipping Hoang Hoa Tham hero, local households basically agreed with it. Currently, the site work has been done for the project commencement.

Land clearance done for expansion project of Nhu Nguyet bridge
