Two biggest FDI projects to Bac Giang make up over 45 percent of Vietnam’s total FDI inflow

(BGO) – Bac Giang province gained positive result in investment attraction in January 2023 with total registered capital sharply increasing against last year figure, helping the province rank first in FDI attraction nationwide in the first month of this year.    

According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, as of January 20, 2023, total newly and added capital of foreign investors to Vietnam hit nearly 1.69 billion USD, down 19.8 percent year on year.

The foreign investors came to 32 provinces and cities across the nation and Bac Giang topped the list with total registered capital of nearly 791.9 million USD, making up nearly 47 percent of total FDI inflow and 10.7 fold increase comparing to the same period in 2021.

Several FDI enterprises registered to implement projects in Bac Giang province early this year. Typically, Singaporean Fulian Precision Technology Factory was registered to execute by Fulian Company Limited at Quang Chau industrial park in Viet Yen district, covering nearly 50 hectares to produce electronic component, computer and telecommunication device.

Besides, Chinese Hainan Longi Green Energy Technology Company Limited invested to a solar panel manufacturing plant with design capacity of 3,500Mw/year at Hoa Phu industrial park in Hiep Hoa district. The construction started in first quarter of 2023.

Total registered capital of two above mentioned projects reached about 761 million USD which accounted for over 96 percent of total registered investment to Bac Giang and over 45 percent of total foreign investment to Vietnam in the first month of this year.

Apart from these projects, Bac Giang received 23 documents requesting to license and adjust the Certificate of Investment Registration in January. So far, 448 projects have been invested to the local industrial parks, including 336 FDI ones with total registered capital of 8.15 billion USD and 17,812 billion VND (754.7 million USD). The executed capital was estimated at 5.34 billion USD and 7,490 billion VND.

In 2023, the province strives to lure about 1.3 billion USD of investment, particularly 1 billion USD to the industrial park.

At the regular meeting of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) in January 2023, the PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong pressed on positive result of investment attraction to the province early this year as the prosperous signal in local investment attraction and development.

Nearly 693 million USD of registered investment added to FDI projects in Bac Giang

(BGO) – On December 19, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Phan The Tuan led a delegation to visit and extend Tet greeting to three foreign directed investment (FDI) companies in Quang Chau industrial park (Viet Yen district), including Fuyu Precision Technology Company Limited, Nichirin Vietnam Company Limited and Lens Vietnam Company Limited.
