At the forum, Robert Iwan, Vice President of Poland's Lower Silesian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Polish enterprises expressed their wish to study and grasp investment opportunities in Bac Giang.
The enterprises from Lower Silesia mostly work in wooden furniture, farm produce for export, food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products and community-based tourism which are suitable for Bac Giang’s enterprises to produce and distribute these products.
From Bac Giang side, Nguyen Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment briefed the participants on potentials of the province, particularly forestry processing with nearly 146,000 hectares of woods, more than 770 production and trading bases of wood and wood for export with the main products as furniture, handicraft and planks.
Besides, Bac Giang is home to many large areas for fruit growing, processing vegetable, safe veggie, poultry feeding and aquaculture especially Luc Ngan lychee and Yen The hill grazed chicken.
Currently, the province is developing some community-based tourism sites in the districts of Son Dong, Luc Ngan and Yen The. However, these models are small in scale and lack of professionalism which have not attracted a large number of tourists.
The Department of Planning and Investment of Bac Giang province commits to facilitate the Polish enterprises promoting investment in the province. Based on the discussion between the two sides, the enterprises will continue grasping information, studying the market and seeking partners for cooperation in coming time.
