Prices of poultry products increase, good opportunity for restocking
BAC GIANG - According to information from authorities and farmers, the selling prices of some poultry products and breeds in Bac Giang province have recently increased comparing to the same period last year. This is a favorable condition for people, cooperatives and businesses to invest in restocking and expanding production.
Specifically, white chicken is priced at 39,500 VND per kg at the farm, an increase of 13,500 VND comparing to the same period last year; free-range chicken is sold at 72-77,000 VND per kg, equivalent to the same period last year; duck for meat is sold at 45,000 VND per kg, an increase of 7,000 VND; 1-day-old ducklings are sold at 20,000 VND per head, an increase of 13,000 VND.

The selling price of some processed chicken products such as: ham, sausage increased by 10,000 VND per kg.
According to the authorities, the price of some poultry products went up due to high domestic consumption demand which is forecast to further increase in the coming time. The increase in animal feed prices pushed up input costs while some farms and production households were damaged by storms.
BAC GIANG - Although the fruit growing area in Bac Giang province were severely affected by storm No. 3, thanks to proper care, some pomelo gardens in the province have recovered and now can be harvested.
The agricultural, forestry, and fishery trade surplus reached 15.21 billion USD in the first 10 months, up 62.2% compared to the same period last year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has reported.
