The Prime Minister approves project to support gender equality in largely ethnic minority areas from 2018-2025 (Source: VNA).

The project aims to create positive changes in implementing gender equality-related activities and raise females’ status in ethnic-inhabited regions, thus contributing to successfully realizing goals set in the National Strategy on Gender Equality.

It aims to educate all staff members on ethnic minority tasks at the provincial level, 50 percent of staff at district and commune levels and village heads on policies and laws on gender equality.

In addition, 80 percent of ethnic minority households are hoped to gain access to information on gender equality policies.
