Earlier northern localities such as Hanoi and Ha Giang, Yen Bai and Quang Ninh provinces and the central beach city of Da Nang also allowed paragliding tours as part of efforts to boost tourism.
Created in 2000, Phong Nha-Ke Bang is recognized as a global heritage site by UNESCO and is home to over 300 caves and grottoes that were formed some 400 million years.
Quang Binh authorities are making efforts to boost tourism following a two-year slump caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
