Provincial Chairman Duong Van Thai receives KOICA Vietnam’s delegation
At the meeting, the provincial Chairman Duong Van Thai highly appreciated the great contribution of KOICA in Vietnam and Kim Jinoh himself to Bac Giang province. He stressed, Republic of Korea (RoK) is a leading country in foreign direct investment (FDI) projects as well as FDI capital in Bac Giang.

The province has been facilitating RoK’s enterprises investing in the locality in recent years. Currently, Bac Giang is home to 232 FDI projects from RoK with total registered capital of about 954 million USD.
The provincial Chairman added, the Korean Government granted the province to build Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology (VKTech) valued at 320 billion VND (13.8 million USD) via KOICA in Vietnam.
Currently, the college has about 3,000 students with the employment rate of 95 to 99 percent. This is among the vocational colleges to supply qualified human resources for Korean investors.
He expressed his pleasure that KOICA in Vietnam has proactively implemented the programmes to support for the college’s growth contributing to socio-economic development of the province.
On this occasion, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee presented a compliment letter to Kim Jinoh, Country Director of KOICA in Vietnam for his outstanding contribution to nurturing the fine relationship between Bac Giang province and RoK’ Government and people.

Besides, he expected Kim Jinoh would advise the RoK’ Government to continue supporting VKTech in expanding its scale and improving the training quality in phase 2.
At the meeting, Kim Jinoh expressed his gratitude to the provincial Chairman for his attention and direction to vocational training of VKTech over the past time. He requested the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province to promptly build the proposal for supporting to build the college in phase 2 as a basis for implementation.
In line with the support from the RoK’ Government, he expected the province to continue paying attention to the college’s development to improve its training quality ensuring human resource supply to RoK’s enterprise in Bac Giang province.
