Red Star Awards honours outstanding young entrepreneurs

A Red Star Awards ceremony was held in Hanoi on December 18 to celebrate the most outstanding Vietnamese young entrepreneurs for their achievements in business and economy-building.

At the ceremony, 100 young Vietnamese businesspeople who rose to prominence in 2019 were honoured, with the 10 best entrepreneurs having been awarded the 2019 Red Star Awards.

This year, votes went to young entrepreneurs holding key positions in enterprises with excellent achievements in production and business activities and who actively participate in community development, among other requirements.

They are typical young entrepreneurs, representing the intellectual, dynamic and creative nature of the younger generation nationwide. These examples of the country’s young adults arouse the spirit of self-determination, contributing to the development of the nation.

The top 100 awardees generated total revenue of nearly VND109 trillion (US$4.7 billion) in 2018, contributing approximately VND5.69 trillion to the State budget and creating jobs for over 64,500 people.

The Red Star Awards, initiated in 1999, aim to honour outstanding young entrepreneurs for their sustainable economic achievements and contributions to social development.
