Salary hiked for state workers

The base salary for state workers increases to VND1.8 million (US$76.32) from this month.
The total salary of civil servants, public employees and military personnel is then calculated by multiplying this base salary by a coefficient.

The salary coefficient is based on the rank of the employee.
The minimum total salary now increases by VND200,000 to VND2.4 million a month and the highest by VND2.5 million to VND14.4 million ($610).
Besides their salary, government workers also get allowances, which are calculated by multiplying the base salary by a coefficient.
Vietnam has over 2.23 million state workers.
Beneficiaries of minimum wage hike from July 1, 2023
