SEA Games 32: Vietnam win 15 more golds, rising to second position in medal tally

Concluding the third competition day of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) on May 8, Vietnam won additional 15 gold medals to climb to the second position in the medal table with 30 gold, 28 silver, and 36 bronze medals.
It was a successful day for Vietnamese athletes in track-and-field and Kun Bokator (a traditional battlefield martial art of Cambodia), with two and six gold medals, respectively.

Vietnamese athletes in other sports also bagged additional 10 gold and nine silver medals.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese U22 football team also had an important victory over Malaysia to advance to the semi-finals of men’s football.
SEA Games 32 is taking place from May 5-17 in Cambodia’s capital city of Phnom Penh and four other localities - Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, and Kep.
As of 21:30 on May 8, Cambodia topped the medal table with 37 gold medals.
On the occasion of attending the opening ceremony of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32), on May 4, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang visited the Vietnamese sports delegation, at Morodok Techo National Sports Complex, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The 2023 SEA Games opening ceremony lit up Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh this Friday with dance, lighting and fireworks shows.
Jiu-jitsu fighters won three bronze medals for Vietnam on May 4 at the ongoing 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) in Cambodia.
Vietnam defeated Malaysia 3-0 in their first Group A match of the 32nd SEA Games women’s football in Cambodia on May 3.
Vietnam scored two goals against Singapore in their second game in Group B of SEA Games 32 Wednesday, where each team also scored their own goals.
