Two stranded tenants rescued from collapsed Saigon house
The 200-meter-square house, which was under renovation, suddenly collapsed around 12:30 p.m. Local residents nearby rushed to try and rescue the tenants inside.

Dinh Khac Huy, president of Binh Thanh People’s Committee, said there were seven people inside the building when it collapsed, and five had been immediately accounted for.
The roof, the concrete walls, and almost ten reinforced columns of the house fell down. Interior including tubs, water heaters, and other furniture were also broken.
Dozens of police officers and equipment were brought to the site to aid the rescue. Part of Binh Quoi street was locked down, so that firetrucks and ambulances could approach the collapsed house.
Minh Huong, 50, a resident nearby, said the collapsed house was under renovation aiming to raise its ground to be as high as the neighboring two houses’.
The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Division under the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Department said at 2:30 p.m. that the two trapped tenants were rescued. They suffered from broken legs, wounds, and were hospitalized to Gia Dinh People’s Hospital.
