The group will also have two special collaboration performances with Vietnamese indie singer Vu Thanh Van and interact with the festival visitors.
According to the group, they want to bring their music to more Vietnamese fans as well as have a deeper understanding of local music with their participation at the festival.
This is the group’s fourth time performing in Vietnam. Their most recent performance was on September 9 at Hanoi’s Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square.
The members also shared a peek into their future plans. They said they want to participate in other activities in Vietnam as well to become a "local band" instead of a foreign artist that occasionally comes to Vietnam to perform.
They added that they hoped to be able to perform with a Vietnamese singer in the United Kingdom in the near future.
Formed in London in 1995, the English pop group 911 consists of Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constables and Spike Dawbarn.
They are famous for their sweet and romantic pop songs like "The Day We Find Love," "How Do You Want Me To Love You," "Private Number," and others.
Held between 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on September 16 on a free entrance basis, the 2023 UK Festival in Ho Chi Minh City is part of the events in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-United Kingdom diplomatic ties.
Other artists set to perform in the festival include Vietnamese pop rock band Chillies, indie singer Vu Thanh Van, DJ MinDaniel, and English DJ Psycho.
