Stamp issued to mark 100th birth anniversary of celebrated musician Do Nhuan
Do Nhuan (1922 – 1991), born in Thai Hoc commune, Binh Giang district, Hai Duong province, was one of the pioneer musicians of Vietnamese revolutionary music.

He was among the founding members of the Vietnam Musicians’ Association in 1957 and held the position of General Secretary of the Association from 1957 to 1983.
Throughout his career, Do Nhuan composed many valuable works in various genres, from songs to operas, dance plays, ‘cheo’ (Vietnamese traditional opera), film soundtracks, and chamber music.
Many of his works have still lived in the hearts of Vietnamese people, contributing to enriching the treasure of Vietnamese music.
The stamp features the portrait of musician Do Nhuan on the left side, and the music sheet of his famous song ‘Viet Nam Que Huong Toi’ (Vietnam – My Homeland) on the right side.
Measuring 46 x 31 mm, the stamp is designed by painter Pham Quang Dieu from the VNPT. It will be available from December 25 this year through June 2024.
