Vibrant festival to celebrate 592 anniversary of Xuong Giang victory
The ceremony was attended by Bui Van Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Le Thi Thu Hong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputies and other provincial leaders.

As the usual custom, 13 procession delegations from the wards of Tho Xuong, Hoang Van Thu, Da Mai, Dinh Ke and residential groups of Xuong Giang ward headed to Xuong Giang temple before the festival launching ceremony.
The delegation conducted the rituals of flag processing, drum and gong beating, palanquin and parasol processing as well as delicately performed the colorful folk dances when moving to the festival center.

He recalled the ancestors’ heroic tradition to fight against the enemy, the pride and great value of Xuong Giang victory (in 1427) led by Le Loi and Nguyen Trai. The strategic fierce battle Chi Lang – Xuong Giang was noted in the history as the highlight milestone for the national spirit of the prow and indomitable struggle to end 20 years under the rule of the Minh and liberate the Dai Viet.
The festival is annually held in order to show the deep respect and gratitude of the present and future generations to the heroes’ great contribution to national protection.

After the art show, the provincial leaders and people offered the incense to pay tribute to the great contribution of the heroes fighting in the land of Xuong Giang.

The festival took place on February 10 – 11 with several attractive cultural and sports activities such as showcasing and introducing the signature products of the communes and wards; honoring the calligraphy; exchanging folk songs among the clubs in the city as well as soft volleyballs and folk games...
The ribbon-cutting ceremony also took place to inaugurate the Art Performing and Exhibition Building that was constructed in June 2018 in the Xuong Giang Victory Relic Site with three main parts of office for relic management board; art performing hall (over 100 seats) and exhibition room showcasing the archaeological artifacts at the Xuong Giang Victory Relic Site.
