VietGAP and VietGAP oriented tea output reaches over 2,100 tonnes in Yen The district

(BGO) – According to the Division of Agriculture and Rural Development in Yen The district (Bac Giang province), the district has grown 230 hectares of tea under VietGAP and VietGAP oriented methods mostly in Xuan Luong and Canh Nau communes this year.

The output is expected to hit over 2,100 tonnes of fresh tea buds that enjoy a smooth consumption with the selling price of 15 – 20,000 VND per kilogram (around 1 USD).

The locals harvest the VietGAP tea in Ven hamlet, Xuan Luong commune, Yen The district.

In order to improve the products’ value, the locals have used the automatic sprayers (dipping and misting), bioproducts, biofertilizers in the caring procedure as well as minimize the usage of plant protection product. The post-harvest products are preliminarily processed and packaged strictly as the procedure to ensure the hygiene and quality.

Yen The now has 522 hectares of tea cultivation and targets to develop about 200 new hectares, increase the VietGAP and VietGAP oriented tea to over 80 percent of the total areas by 2020.

Viet Yen develops VietGAP specialized agricultural production areas

One of the solutions employed by the Standing Board of the district Party Committee is focusing on developing specialized agricultural production areas following VietGAP standards. 
 
Deputy Minister works with Bac Giang’s leader to facilitate VietGAP certificate issuance
(BGO) – The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) Le Quoc Doanh on April 9 led a working delegation to visit Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee discussing the solutions of lychee quality improvement and market expansion. The delegates were welcomed by Duong Van Thai, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders of the provincial departments and sectors.
 
Bac Giang expands area of VietGAP production to raise farm produce quality
(BGO) – To improve quality and value of local farm produce, the northern province of Bac Giang has focused on expanding area of agricultural production under VietGAP standard. Along with supporting mechanism and policies, experience in production management is vital for the province to fulfill the target of producing 30 percent of vegetables, fruits and aquatic products under the standard.
 
Annual supply contract of VietGAP agricultural products inked
(BGO) – The Hanoi – based Nam Sao Seed and Agricultural Products Company Limited (Nam Sao) has inked a contract to link the agricultural cultivation and consumption with Dong Tam 3 Agricultural Cooperative in Thuong Thang commune, Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province.
 
Tan Yen strives to grant new VietGAP certificate to early ripen lychee growing area
(BGO) – Tan Yen district strives to grant the new VietGAP certificate to more than 100 hectares growing early ripen lychee locally, mostly in Phuc Hoa commune, the Division of Agriculture and Rural Development in Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province reported.
