Vietnam firms attend sixth India International Silk Fair

More than 20 Vietnamese enterprises are showcasing their products at the sixth India International Silk Fair, which opened in New Delhi on October 16.

The three-day event allows Vietnamese firms in the garment and textile and interior decoration sectors to seek partners, expand markets and learn about new technology and techniques.

It gathers 120 leading Indian silk producers and 250 foreign businesses from across the world.
Along with showcasing silk and silk blended garments, fabrics, accessories
The organizing board expects to welcome about 10,000 visitors during the event.
Vietnam, Japan honour traditional silk, brocade weaving
An exchange event introducing the woven silk and brocade products of Vietnam and Japan opened in Hoi An ancient city in the central province of Quang Nam, as part of the 16th Hoi An-Japan Cultural Exchange.
Traditional Vietnamese silk continues its journey
Famous lands for traditional silk are dotted throughout the S-shaped country in a typically traditional and distinctly beautiful style. Throughout Vietnam, there are Ha Dong, Nha Xa and Co Chat silk in the North; Hoi An and Ma Chau silk in the Central; Bao Loc silk in the Central Highlands; and the famous Tan Chau silk area in the southern An Giang province, with My A satin has become legendary.
Ma Chau villagers strive to keep silk weaving art alive
Despite historical ups and downs throughout the village’s 500-year history, Ma Chau villagers in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, have exerted every effort to keep their traditional silk weaving art alive.
