He is expected to speak at the UN General Assembly general debate, as well as the Climate Ambition Summit, and the High-level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response. He will also meet with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and President of the UN General Assembly Dennis Francis, as well as other national leaders and international organizations.

Chinh is expected to meet with U.S. Congress leaders and engage influential Americans in discussions about boosting economic and trade relations between Vietnam and the U.S.

Vietnam and the U.S. upgraded their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership during U.S. President Joe Biden's visit to Vietnam from September 10 to 11.

After the U.S., Chinh will then embark on an official state visit to Brazil. He has planned dialogues with President Lula da Silva, as well as leaders of the Brazilian National Congress.

Brazil is the largest economic and trade partner for Vietnam in Latin America. Bilateral trade turnover between the two countries reached $6.78 billion in 2022, a 6.6% increase from 2021.
