Vietnam wishes to enhance ties with Germany: Ambassador
The statement was made by newly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Minh Vu when he presented the credentials to Germany President Franz-Walter Steinmeier in the Bellevue Palace in Berlin on February 8.

He said he would do his utmost to help bring the bilateral ties to a higher level of development, serving the interests of the two countries’ people.
President Franz-Walter Steinmeier recalled his memories of a visit to Vietnam previously, saying he was impressed by Vietnam’s socio-economic development and diplomatic achievements after more than 30 years of renovation.
He expressed his hope that the new ambassador will make significant contributions to maintaining, consolidating and developing the strategic partnership between Germany and Vietnam.
Germany, the fourth largest economy in the world, is home to about 170,000 Vietnamese people.
