Vietnamese students participating in 56th International Chemistry Olympiad welcomed home
BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of July 31, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a reception for a delegation of students participating in the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad in 2024 returning from Saudi Arabia. All the four Vietnamese students won medals, with three gold and one silver. Vietnam ranked second out of the 89 participating countries and territories.
Giap Vu Son Ha, a 12th grader in Chemistry class (2023-2024 school year) from Bac Giang High School for the Gifted won a Gold Medal. This is the first time Bac Giang has had a contestant winning a Gold Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad. Previously, Giap Vu Son Ha won a Silver Medal at the Abu Reikhan Beru International Chemistry Olympiad in 2023. Currently, Giap Vu Son Ha lives with his family in Quang Minh Apartment in Hoang Van Thu Ward (Bac Giang City).

BAC GIANG - According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training on July 28, the Vietnamese national team won 2 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals at the 2024 International Physics Olympiad (IPhO).
Vietnamese athletes who win an Olympic gold can get as much as US$1 million in reward, plus other bonuses.
The 20-year-old student Dang Ngoc Anh has just excellently won the gold prize at the 2024 Asia Arts Festival.
BAC GIANG- Pham Tien San (from Bac Giang) on July 15 won a gold medal in the men’s single duathlon event at the 2024 National Triathlon Championship.

BAC GIANG- According to the jujitsu coach of the provincial Center for sports training and competition of Bac Giang province, Bac Giang’s athletes won 7 medals at the 2024 Southeast Asian Jujitsu Championships as of July 7 after 3-day competitions.
