Bac Giang students win gold medal at int’l chemistry Olympiad 2024
BAC GIANG – Vietnam ranked second out of the 89 participating countries and territories at the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO), taking place from July 21-30 in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Education and Training has announced.
All the four Vietnamese students won medals, with three gold and one silver.

The Gold Medals went to Giap Vu Son Ha, a 12th grader at Chemistry class in Bac Giang High School for the Gifted; Nguyen Huu Tien Hung, a 12th grader at Chemistry class in Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted; Tran Dang Khoi, a 12th grader at Chemistry class in Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
Meanwhile, Do Phu Quoc, a 12th grader at Chemistry class in Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted (Quang Nam) won the Silver Medal.
In the Abu Reikhan Beru International Chemistry Olympiad 2023, Giap Vu Son Ha won a Silver Medal.
At the 2024 International Physics Olympiad held in Iran from July 21 - 29, the Vietnamese National Team won 2 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals. Of which, 2 Gold Medals were awarded to Than The Cong and Truong Phi Hung from Bac Giang High School for the Gifted.
Thus, this is the first time in a school year that Bac Giang High School for the Gifted has had 3 students winning 3 Gold Medals at the International Olympic in Physics and Chemistry.

BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of June 10, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a welcoming ceremony for the Vietnamese National Team participating in the 24th Asian Physics Olympiad in 2024 at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi City). This year, 8 members of the Vietnamese National Team all won medals, including 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal and 6 Bronze Medals.
