Vietnamese students win medals at Int’l Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics

All five Vietnamese students participating in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) 2021, which concluded on November 21, won medals.

The Vietnamese team comprised five 12th graders from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

Tran Dinh Dung pocketed a gold medal. Meanwhile Nguyen Manh Duc and Nguyen Khanh Tam won silver medals, and Le Duc An and Dinh Tran Hai Chien were bronze medallists.

IOAA 2021 was held online, attracting students aged under 19 from over 60 countries around the world.

Nearly 500 million VND and 856 devices donated to support impoverished students’ online studying
