The Vietnam Book of Records (Vietkings) presented the record certificate on behalf of Worldkings to Linh Phuoc pagoda on December 17.

At the ceremony, Most Venerable Thich Tam Vi, Head of Linh Phuoc Pagoda said, the statue, 17 meters high, was built with around 650,000 flowers during 36 days on the occasion of the Da Lat Flower Festival 2010. It stands in front of a seven-story bell tower.

The statue, which earned a Vietnamese record in 2010 and an Asian record in 2012, has been re-made every two years.

Linh Phuoc pagoda boasts 13 Vietnamese records, one of Asia, and one world title.

They are expected to contribute to introducing Vietnamese Buddhism to international friends, particularly during the upcoming Da Lat Flower Festival 2017.
