Nearly 30km far from Hue city, the small fishing village, with over 200 households, has been suddenly crowded with various tourists in recent times. Most local people are attached to fishing, so the mural paintings feature the landscapes in the village, such as the lagoon with boats, lotus ponds, and flower gardens, as well as activities in their daily life.

The colourful murals make the village’s roads, walls and fences become softer, brighter and more lively, promoting the image of Ngu My Thanh village and Tam Giang lagoon with profuse aquatic resources. The difference will also contribute to developing the eco-tourism in the locality.

Being the first mural village in Thua Thien – Hue province, the attitude in Ngu My Thanh’s has been changed. The mural paintings have made the villagers’ life more joyful, creating a highlight to attract tourists to Hue.

Walking around the village, admiring the scenery, talking with the locals and experiencing their daily life and production activities, visitors will feel the sincerity, simplicity, friendliness and hospitality of people in a typical fishing village in the Central region.
