World’s artists to perform at HCM City Autumn Melody concert

The 2019 Autumn Melody will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from August 17 to 25.

The biennial music event is jointly organised by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and the HCM City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO).

Music lovers will be able to enjoy musicals, symphonies and ballets staged by world’s famous artists, including classical pianist Dang Thai Son, opera director David Hermann, choreographer Joost Vrouenraets, the Chamber Players International classical ensemble of the US, and the Eine Flute Ensemble of the Republic of Korea, along with many rising Vietnamese talents.

Notably, a rehearsal of Son’s concert will be free of charge for students.

The Arts Festival Autumn Melodies was first organised in August 2005, aiming to promote young Vietnamese talents who study abroad and make outstanding achievements in arts.
