Attractive destination

Xuan Lung – Thac Nga tourism site is about 18 kilometers away from the center of Yen The district. It boasts many beautiful landscapes with magnificient waterfalls of Nga, Lung Tinh; more than 200 hectares of primitive forests among the cool and fresh air.

It has cultural historical relic sites such as Xuan Lung communal house and pagoda, ancient well, thousand year old ironwood tree and Xuan Lung communal house festival with deep cultural identity of Cao Lan ethnic people.

Also, the site is well known as a land with high quality tea made by secrete method of Cao Lan ethnic people.

To exploit the local tourism potentials, in late 2017, the People’s Committee in Yen The district issued the proposal “Developing Xuan Lung – Thac Nga spiritual and ecological tourism site in Xuan Luong commune in the period 2017 – 2030 with a vision to 2030”.

According to Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Yen The district, its target is to develop the commune to become a center of spiritual – ecotourism following the community based tourism model. Together with Hoang Hoa Tham historical relic site, Xuan Lung – Thac Nga tourism site will act as two highlight destinations in the district to link to the tours and travel routes in and outside the province, helping motivate the regional economic growth.

Now, the tourism site has nearly 10 house on stilts and exhibition buildings invested by Than Truong Cooperative and local households with area of 80 – 150 square meters per house to meet the accommodation and travel demand for 500 – 600 persons.

Visiting here, the tourists can enjoy the unique cuisine of Cao Lan ethnic people such as five colour steamed glutinous rice, boar meat, ant egg, black canari...; experience tea picking and drying in Ven village; visit the exhibition of the signature products and cultural features of the ethnic minority groups or hill chicken farm...

Investing to enhance the service quality

In 2019, the district People’s Committee instructed the competent agencies to coordinate with Xuan Luong communal People’s Committee to restore the ancient well in Xuan Lung village, link the road from Xuan Lung pagoda to the site of thousand year old ironwood tree, zone off the car parking station for the visitors, building three electric stations at Nga waterfall area, connect the tour and travel routes from several tourism sites of Thai Nguyen province to Xuan Lung – Thac Nga.

Together with investment to the tourism site, the road to the localities have recently been expanded and upgraded. Particularly, 15 kilometer road is concreted from the center of Yen The district to Xuan Luong commune while 8 kilometers of rural road is reinforced from the communal center to Xoan village and Deo Nga primitive forest which monthly attract 4,000 – 5,000 visitors.

In July 2019, the provincial People’s Committee approved for the Plan to support the community tourism development in Bac Giang province in 2019 – 2020, including Ven village, Xuan Luong commune. A Community Tourism Cooperative will be established with the host as the local residents. 

Accordingly, Yen The district People’s Committee will zone off the concentrated tea production area to develop the experimental tourism models; make the road to the waterfall; build the entertainment facilities and resorts; enhance the travel promotion and linkage in 2020 and upcoming years.

In spite of new establishment and development with many obstacle ahead, the due attention of the local authority and warm response from the locals and enterprises will surely help Xuan Lung Thac Nga spiritual – ecotourism site become a bright sport in community tourism, contributing to improving the locals’ living standard and making tourism as key economic sector in the district.

(BGO) - On October 26, the People's Committee of Yen The district held a conference to promote investment in agriculture and tourism development and consumption of Yen The hill chickens in 2019. Attending the event were Nguyen Xuan Cuong, member of the Central Party Committee, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; and Bui Van Hai, member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the provincial People's Council.

(BGO) – After 10 month of building and operating the Smart Tourism Portal in the northern province of Bac Giang, to date, it has supplied information about the price and facilities of 17 standard hotels ranging from 1 to 4 stars, 35 restaurants, 48 outstanding tourism and historical sites and complexes, 9 shopping places, 30 gasoline stations, 23 medical establishments, 96 ATM...in the province.  

Farmer’s family offers tourism business

(BGO)- 4 months ago, Nguyen Van Du’s family in Nga Trai hamlet, Huong Lam commune, Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province was approved to cooperate with Ky Viet Trade and Tourism Company Limited in Hanoi to make the experimental tourism model in 3,600-square metre of field and fruit growing areas.
