The above Decree benefits enterprises directly leasing land from the State in 2024 in the form of annual payments which will have their land rent reduced 30%.

Officers of the Bac Giang City Tax Team review documents to reduce land rent for businesses.

According to the tax authority, 406 enterprises in the province get their land rent reduced with a total amount of nearly 44 billion VND (1.9 million USD).

Of these, 117 enterprises had their land rent reduced by more than 15.3 billion VND.

Some enterprises have had their land rent reduced significantly, such as: Bac Giang Road Joint Stock Company (more than 102 million VND on a land lease area of ​​more than 2,300 square meters); Bac Giang Waterway Transport Joint Stock Company (nearly 34 million VND on a land lease area of ​​nearly 2,600 square meters), Bac Giang Printing Joint Stock Company (more than 21 million VND on a land lease area of ​​nearly 2,400 square meters).

To receive a reduction in land rent, the remaining enterprises need to complete the application documents and send them to the tax authority before July 31, 2025 with full responsibility for the truthfulness and accuracy of the information requesting a reduction in land rent.

Bac Giang’s import-export tax revenue surges over 32%

BAC GIANG - By the end of the first quarter of this year, the Customs Branch of Region V collected more than 636 billion VND (27.6 million USD) in import and export taxes from 462 enterprises operating in Bac Giang province — an increase of over 32% compared to the same period last year. This figure represents more than 27% of the annual target.

Nearly 43,000 tax refunds processed automatically in one week

Vietnam’s tax authorities officially launched an automated system for personal income tax refunds nationwide from April 3, 2025, applicable to the 2024 tax finalisation period. Within just seven days, the system processed 42,881 refund cases, totalling 229.3 billion VND (8.91 million USD).

Tax revenue from e-commerce surges

According to the department, 130 foreign suppliers, including Google and Facebook, have registered, declared, and paid taxes through the electronic tax portal for foreign providers, contributing a total of 2.91 trillion VND (114 million USD).

BAC GIANG - According to the Tax Department of Region VI, since the beginning of the year, tax collection from foreign direct investment enterprises in Bac Giang province has reached nearly 2.3 trillion VND (98.1 million USD), reaching more than 62% of the assigned estimate, up nearly 39% over the same period last year.
