Chu Township ensures security, order and traffic safety during lychee season
BAC GIANG - Currently, people in Chu township (Bac Giang province) have begun harvesting lychees. To help farmers and traders transport and consume fruits conveniently, local authorities and police forces are making efforts to ensure security, order, traffic safety and minimize traffic jams.

Of which, 35,000 tonnes of lychee are produced according to VietGAP standards. The early lychee harvest season began at the end of May while the main lychee harvest expects from June 20 to mid-July.
To ensure a safe and smooth lychee harvest season, Chu township is actively coordinating with the provincial public security and directing functional agencies, communes and wards to effectively implement consumption support measures such as regulating traffic, maintaining security and order.
Phuong Son Ward currently has dozens of lychee purchasing points. From early morning, the traffic police force (Provincial Public Security) and the ward police coordinate to patrol the streets, regulate traffic and guide vehicles to stop and park in accordance with regulations, limiting congestion and affecting lychee consumption.
The provincial Public Security established 8 working groups to conduct mobile patrols on routes and areas with potential traffic congestion risks on National Highway 31. At the same time, the unit assigns permanent forces at the Chu Ward Police Headquarters to promptly resolve traffic congestion and accidents during the lychee harvest season.

Not only in Phuong Son ward, the traffic police force, the police of the wards and communes like Chu, Hong Giang, Tru Huu, Nam Duong... also actively well ensure the security and order, regulate the traffic and clear congestion at lychee weighing points along National Highway 31 passing through some areas of intersections, crossroads, Thanh Nien lake shore in Chu ward; intersection of Tan Tien residential group, Tru Huu ward and Chu bridge area in Nam Duong commune among others.
Major Nguyen Trong Nghe, Deputy Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 in charge of Chu township under the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Public Security) said to ensure traffic safety and security in the area, the Team has recently been divided into 2 groups to coordinate with the police forces of communes and wards to organize traffic flow and guide people to participate in traffic safely from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day.
On this occasion, the People's Committees of communes and wards in Chu township have developed plans and assigned specific tasks to each group and individual; arranged working groups to simultaneously clear constructions that encroach on roads and sidewalks, obstructing the view of traffic participants.
