11 out of 13 digital transformation targets achieved and exceeded in Bac Giang
BAC GIANG - On June 11, 2021, the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 111-NQ/TU on digital transformation of Bac Giang province in 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2030. The Resolution set out 13 basic targets for the development of digital government, digital economy and digital society. After 4 years of implementation, 11 out of 13 targets have been achieved and exceeded.
Accordingly, the exceeded targets included over 95% of work records at the provincial level, 85% of work records at the district level and 65% of work records at the commune level were processed online (exceeding the average by 7%); digital economy accounted for about 25% of the province's GRDP (exceeding 18.57%); the proportion of digital economy in each industry and field reached at least 15% (exceeding 35%); annual labor productivity increased by more than 12.5% (exceeding 1%).

In particular, the target of striving to have more than 800 digital enterprises is expected to be surpassed by the end of 2025 (currently the whole province has 773 digital enterprises).
The remaining 6 achieved targets were 100% of level 4 online public services were provided on various access devices, especially on mobile devices by the end of 2021; 100% of reporting regimes serving the direction and administration of Party committees and authorities at all levels were implemented, integrated, connected, and data was shared on the province's reporting information system and linked with the national reporting information system; 100% of databases creating a platform for developing e-government and digital transformation of the province were connected, shared while data of state agencies was open to provide timely public services; fiber optic broadband network infrastructure covered 100% of households, 100% of commune-level administrative units; 4G/5G network services and smartphones were popularized; 100% of people in need and eligible had electronic payment accounts.
The above implementation results have helped Bac Giang province continuously maintain its top position in digital transformation, with a ranking of 10 out of 63 localities for two consecutive years (2020, 2021) and rising to 9 out of 63 provinces and cities in 2022, 2023.
The index of readiness to apply and develop information technology (ICT Index) in 2022, 2023 ranked 5 out of 63 provinces and cities.
In particular, Bac Giang continuously led the country in building e-government and digital government for 4 consecutive years (from 2020 to 2023), contributing to the administrative reform index PAR Index for 2 consecutive years (2022, 2023) ranking 4th nationwide.
