Land clearance efforts to remove “bottlenecks”, gain consensus

Updated: 10:39, 14/06/2025

BAC GIANG- Viet Yen township and Bac Giang city, the dynamic economic hubs in the province have gained positive results after launching the peak campaign for land clearance with the principle “Working through day and night”.

As a result, the chronic bottlenecks have been gradually removed, contributing to expanding the land fund, giving more space for socio-economic development and promoting sustainable development of the localities.

The officers of the Center for land fund and industrial cluster development of Viet Yen township supervise land clearance in Bich Dong ward.

Compensation for land clearance is defined a major “bottleneck” in tapping resources for development. Fully aware of this, the People’s Committee of Bac Giang city has proactively developed a plan and implemented total 55 projects since early 2025, focusing on 5 industrial parks and clusters as well as 18 urban area projects funded by non-budget investment.

The city’s leaders directly follow up each project and request daily and weekly progress reports. Thus, arising difficulties are promptly surmounted while the city proactively seeks opinions from relevant provincial departments for the issues beyond their authority to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Thanks to systematic and determined implementation, the city reclaimed over 150 hectares of land for 55 projects and fully completed site clearance for 10 projects in the first half of 2025.

Remarkably, the key projects including Yen Lu industrial park (IP), expanded Yen Lu IP, Dong Phuc IP or Noi Hoang and Song Khe - Noi Hoang industrial clusters have been completed compensation plans.

In addition, the inventory and accounting work for 15 non- state budget urban area projects has been nearly completed, ensuring the approval and payment to affected households by 30 June 2025.

With high determination in land clearance, the officers at the city Center for land fund and industrial cluster development have been dedicated to fulfill the tasks regardless of weekends or working outside of office hours

If they only work in office hours, it is hard to ensure the progress, according to Ong The Trung, Vice Director of the Center. Hence, flexible measures have been applied conforming to actual situations of each project.

Similarly, Viet Yen township is also determined to make breakthroughs in land clearance efforts. The township government launched the emulative campaign “100 peak days implementing land clearance for key projects and public investment projects in the locality”. The campaign is focused on 35 projects with total 425 hectares.

The people’s committee of the township pays special attention to industrial park, cluster and urban area projects such as investment in construction and trading infrastructure of Song Mai – Nghia Trung IP, Trung Son – Ninh Son industrial cluster and expanded Vietnam-Korea IP.

A series of big projects are being commenced, promising to bring a new investment wave, create jobs and revenues to the local budget.

The campaign not only addresses immediate issues but it also creates a positive example in its approach, which is based on consensus and takes concrete actions as principles.

This is a strong message Viet Yen township wants to sent to investors that Viet Yen is committed to accompanying and creating any favorable conditions for businesses’ sustainable development.
