Bac Giang finalizes new government office complex ahead of merger
BAC GIANG – On June 13, Chairman of the Bac Giang People’s Committee (PPC) Nguyen Viet Oanh inspected the new provincial government office complex as preparations near completion for the upcoming administrative merger with Bac Ninh province.
The 698 billion VND (30.6 million USD) project, funded by the provincial budget, includes a 22-storey building with two basement levels, covering over 40,500 square meters.

It is designed to house multiple provincial departments including Finance, Construction, Science and Technology and Agriculture and Environment along with the province’s Public Administration Service Center.
The building features eight elevators, fireproof standards, five emergency staircases in the basement and infrastructure such as power supply, drainage, landscaping and parking.

With the Bac Giang–Bac Ninh merger to take effect on July 1, the site is expected to accommodate nearly 1,000 staff. Authorities aim to complete construction and hand over the premises by June 20, with relocation of offices scheduled between June 20–30.
PPC Chairman Nguyen Viet Oanh urged relevant departments and contractors to finalize telecom systems and ensure the facility operates smoothly from the first day. He also requested proper cleanup and landscaping before handover.
