Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces agree on socio-economic development targets and operate two-level government model
BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of June 12, the People's Committees of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces held a conference to discuss a number of issues related to the arrangement and organization of the apparatus. It was co-chaired by Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and Nguyen Viet Oanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province.
According to the report on the expected socio-economic development indicators of new Bac Ninh province, the province is expected to have 22 main indicators for the period 2026-2030.

Some typical indicators include average growth rate of the province's gross domestic product in the period 2026-2030 is 10.5-12.5%/year; GRDP per capita by 2030 is 8,500 USD.
By 2030, the total import-export turnover will reach 212 billion USD; the state budget revenue will reach 375.7 trillion VND during 2026-2030 period.
In 2030, the state budget revenue will hit 88.6 trillion VND; total local budget expenditure in the period 2026-2030 will reach 279 trillion VND.
By 2030, 100% of communes will meet new rural standards, of which over 50% will meet advanced new rural standards, 30% of communes will meet model new rural standards; Bac Ninh province will become a new rural province before 2030.
The rate of normal industrial waste, hazardous waste, and medical waste collected and treated according to regulations will reach 100%; by the end of 2027, the whole province will have no poor households...
Regarding the report on the review of mechanisms and policies of the two provinces, delegates highly agreed with the social security policies and some specific policies of superiority.
Concluding the working session, two provincial leaders Vuong Quoc Tuan and Nguyen Viet Oanh said that the development of socio-economic development indicators must adhere to the indicators of the centrally-run city as the economic growth pole of the North and the whole country with green, clean, modern industry and service development based on the knowledge economy, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
The province has a synchronous, modern socio-economic infrastructure system, connecting inter-provincial, inter-regional and international; ensuring national defense, security and social order and safety, creating a stable and attractive investment and business environment; taking comprehensive care, improving the quality of life and happiness of the people.
Two leaders agreed to propose studying to raise the GRDP per capita target by 2030 to 8,800 - 9,200 USD.
They also assigned the Departments of Home Affairs of the two provinces to discuss in detail the exercise of operating the two-level government; develop and report a specific plan to jointly announce the Resolution of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels.
