Storm No.1 reaches gusts of level 13, located 140km east of Bach Long Vi Island
According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, as of 6:00 AM on June 14, the storm’s centre was located at approximately 20.1°N latitude and 109.0°E longitude, about 145km east of Bach Long Vi Island. The strongest winds near the centre were at level 10–11 (89–117km/h), with gusts reaching level 13.
In the next three hours, the storm is forecast to move north-northeast at a speed of around 10 km/h.

Due to the influence of Storm No.1’s circulation, Bach Long Vi island district is experiencing strong winds at level 7, with gusts at levels 8–9. Con Co island district (Quang Tri) is reporting level 7 winds with level 8 gusts, while Bai Chay and Cua Ong (Quang Ninh) are seeing winds at level 6.
Earlier, at 4:00 AM on June 14, the storm’s centre was located at around 19.8°N latitude and 108.9°E longitude, in the eastern waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, approximately 150km east of Bach Long Vi Island.
The strongest winds near the centre were at level 10–11 (89–117km/h), with gusts up to level 13, moving northward at a speed of 5 km/h.
As a result of the storm, the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin (including the island districts of Co To and Bach Long Vi) are experiencing strong winds at level 7, with winds near the storm centre reaching levels 8–9 and gusting up to level 13. Wave heights are 2–4m, and up to 4–6m in the eastern area, with very rough seas.
In the northwestern part of the northern East Sea/South China Sea, winds are blowing at level 6 with gusts up to level 8, waves reaching heights of 2–4m, and turbulent conditions.
Vessels operating in the aforementioned hazardous areas are likely to face thunderstorms, squalls, strong winds, and high waves.
Along the coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Hai Phong, strong winds are recorded at level 6, with gusts at level 8. Coastal areas from Thai Binh to Nam Dinh are experiencing winds at levels 4–5, with gusts at levels 6–7.
