Bac Giang: Early-ripening lychee season enjoys favourable sales
BAC GIANG - As of now, Bac Giang province has sold over 15,000 tonnes of early-ripening lychees, accounting for about 25% of the total early-ripening lychee harvest. The smooth sales reflect stable market demand and the strong appeal of the product.
This year, Phuc Hoa commune in Tan Yen district is expected to produce around 9,000 tonnes of high-quality early-ripening lychees, attracting significant interest from export enterprises.

According to Ngo Van Tiep, Chairman of the Phuc Hoa communal People’s Committee, the local lychees have already been exported to major markets such as the US, Canada, several European countries, and China.
Currently, sales are going well, with stable prices, and 50% of the commune’s total production has already been harvested.
Notably, export demand from high-end markets continues to rise, though supply is limited due to the scattered ripening of the fruit.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, besides Tan Yen, early-ripening lychees from Chu township and Luc Ngan, Yen The, and Luc Nam districts are also fetching good prices, with top-quality fruits selling for 35,000-40,000 VND (1.15-1.54 USD) per kilogramme at the orchard.
La Van Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, shared that in the coming time, Bac Giang will continue promoting lychee and other key local agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) items in several European countries.
The province will also introduce and promote lychees at trade promotion conferences with Vietnam's overseas trade offices by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In collaboration with Mova Plus JSC, Bac Giang plans to showcase lychees at major domestic tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc.
The province will also organise booths exhibiting lychees and other potential products at the 2025 Vietnam-China Border Tourism Festival in Pingxiang, Guangxi, China, and the China-ASEAN Expo.
At the same time, Bac Giang will welcome business delegations from China, the US, Japan, Thailand, and other countries to explore the market and connect with local businesses.
These activities aim to foster investment opportunities, promote economic and trade cooperation, and support the export of lychees and other key agricultural products from the province.
