Speaking at the event, Secretary of Luc Ngan district party committee Luong The Tuan informed Luc Ngan district and Chu township in northern province of Bac Giang are big concentrated fruit cultivation areas in northern Vietnam with over 28,000 hectares.

The delegates witness the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement on consumption of Luc Ngan lychee in 2025.

Of which, the lychee growing area covers around 17,500 hectares including 12,000 hectares cultivated under VietGAP, GlobalGAP and other standards for export to Japan, US and Europe.

The fresh lychee output of both localities is expected at 108,000 tonnes in this season. Local farmers are harvesting early ripening lychee while main crop lychee will be harvested from mid-June to late July.

Luong The Tuan expressed his sincere thanks and requested the government of Thu Duc city, partners, businesses and traders to pay continuous attention to expanding the linkage in production, processing and consumption of lychee; thereby contributing to helping the lychee product of Luc Ngan district and Chu town to fly farther.

On this occasion, the leaders of Luc Ngan district, Chu township, Sai Gon Co.op, Mega Market Vietnam Company Limited, the Managing Board of Thu Duc and Binh Dien wholesale markets, EB Services Company Limited (Go market), Hung Thao Import and Export Company Limited (in Luc Ngan district), Hong Xuan Agricultural Production and General Service Cooperative (in Chu township), Anh Quan Company Limited (in Luc Ngan district) and Thanh Hai Agricultural Cooperative (in Chu township) signed the cooperation agreement on consumption of lychee in 2025.
