3 billion VND donated to Covid-19 vaccine fund

(BGO) – On behalf of Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), representatives of Agribank Bac Giang branch and Agribank Bac Giang branch 2 on June 10 donated 3 billion VND (131,400 USD) to Covid-19 vaccine fund at the office of the Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) in Bac Giang province. 

Speaking at the reception, FFC Chairman Tran Cong Thang highly appreciated the joint effort from two branches to timely and practically support the province to implement the guideline of the Party, Government and provincial People’s Committee about vaccine purchase for Covid-19 prevention for people.

Representatives of Agribank Bac Giang branch and Agribank Bac Giang branch 2 hand over the donation to leader of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Recently, the provincial FFC has received many donations from organizations, agencies and individuals in and outside the province. The FFC will transfer the expenses donated by the two branches to the Government’s Covid vaccine fund to effectively use in pandemic prevention and control.

At the same time, FFC Chairman Tran Cong Thang also received donation to Covid-19 vaccine fund from many organizations, enterprises, organizations and kind-hearted people, such as Ha Bac Gasoline Company (700 million VND), provincial Transport Association (20 million VND), Bac Giang provincial Architecture Association (50 million VND)...

Besides, several organizations, agencies and philanthropists such as Suc khoe va doi song Newspaper, Gia dinh and xa hoi Newspaper, Vietnamese Heart Fund – Vietnam Television and other businesses donated medical materials and supplies, testing kit and necessities totally worth nearly 1.6 billion VND for the local disease prevention and control.
