4 districts and city granted A prizes at provincial cheo singing festival
Each troop performed a cheo art show in less than 40 minutes to honor the Party, Uncle Ho, country, nation, human as well as promote and preserve the traditional culture. The art show must comprise of an ancient cheo performance at least.

The performances were delicately staged with unique cheo excerpts. Particularly, Viet Yen district introduced both cheo melodies about the homelands such as Viet Yen que me ta oi (Viet Yen – the mother land), Hoang Mai doi moi (Renovation of Hoang Mai village) and the play “Tinh doi” (Life affection) that represented the hot issues in the industrialisation rural areas.
Nguyen Quach Hai, Director of the provincial Culture and Cinema Center, Head of the Jury Board said all the art troops come to the festival with thorough preparation, many delicately staged performances following the theme. Also, they selected various images for reference and professional performance, especially some candidates staged naturally with full of emotion, confidence and inspiration via beautiful voice.

The festival creates a helpful and widespread art playground in the province that positively contributes to communicating the potentials of culture and tourism as well as preserving the traditional cultural values of Bac Giang homeland.
Concluding the event, the Organization Board presented A collective prize to the districts of Yen Dung, Tan Yen, Hiep Hoa and Bac Giang city while 32 A individual prizes were awarded to the excellent artists and performances.
The prize for the oldest candidate was awarded to Do Thi Khoa (78 years old) while writer Van Them was honored as the person having many works staged at the festival.
