Of which, 55.8 percent of the businesses operate in the fields of trading and service, 40.6 percent in the industry and construction, 3.6 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishery.

The province is now home to more than 8,800 enterprises with registered capital of nearly 60 trillion VND (2.5 billion USD) as well as 1,150 branches and representative offices.

The majority are one member company limited with more than 4,650 enterprises (52.8 percent); company limited with above two members with 2,100 businesses (24.3 percent); joint stock company with more than 1,550 firms (17.6 percent) and private business with 464 companies (5.3 percent).

In the first six month, 34 businesses, branches and representative offices dissolved and cleared their names from the business registration book, accounting for 6.2 percent against the total newly established ones.

Besides, 182 establishments stopped their business, up 45.6 percent comparing to the same period last year.

Capital of newly-established firms surges

The number of newly-established businesses in the first quarter of this year reached 28,451 with the total registered capital of 375.5 trillion VND (16.14 billion USD), up 6.2 percent and 34.8 percent year-on-year, respectively.
