Action month launched to call for people’s participation in health insurance

(BGO) – The Action month (November) has been launched in all of city and districts in the northern province of Bac Giang from October 31 to November 2 in order to call for the whole resident to participate in health insurance (HI) in 2019.

Next year, the province strives to 98 percent of the population having the HI card by assigning the specific targets to the districts, concretely 99.8 percent to Son Dong, 99.5 percent to Bac Giang city, 99.1 percent to Yen The, 99 percent to Luc Ngan and Viet Yen, 98.6 percent to Luc Nam and Yen Dung, 98.5 percent to Lang Giang, 98.3 percent to Tan Yen and 98 percent to Hiep Hoa.

The Action month focuses on communicating and popularizing the HI law and policies to the people of all strata; developing the subjects especially the farming households, small business, free laborers with good income while training on professional skill and instruction on the procedure of HI participation.

Additionally, it is necessary to timely honor and reward the outstanding organizations and individuals with achievement on appealing the people to join the HI; increase the quality of health examination and treatment as well as reform the administrative procedures at the local medical stations.

The People’s Committees in the districts and city will build up the execution plan with specific targets assigned to each group of subject. The Fatherland Front’s Committee and socio-political organizations should boost up the communication to its member families who do not have the HI card about the HI role and meaning in life, especially in case of unexpected illness, disease or accident.
