Bac Giang city promotes consumption of Vietnamese products
Bac Giang – In response to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods”, major trading enterprises, business establishments, and convenience stores in Bac Giang city have strengthened their links to distribute many domestically-produced essential consumer products; and organized activities to stimulate shopping demand.
Co.opmart Bac Giang supermarket has become a popular shopping destination, offering more than 12,000 items, of which 99% are made in Vietnam. It has focused on maintaining the "Proud of Vietnamese Goods" programme, helping bring Vietnamese products to consumers.

Since the end of August, the supermarket has reserved its prime display spaces to showcase and promote Vietnamese products. It has collaborated with over 600 business partners to organise the largest promotional event of the year, offering discounts of 10–50% on more than 3,500 Vietnamese products.
Additionally, the supermarket has launched various consumer stimulation activities, including the Meat Festival, the Da Lat Vegetable Festival, "Trust Vietnamese Goods - Overwhelming Discounts," "Great Sale in Celebration of Big Holidays," "Buy More, Pay Less," and the "Vietnamese Goods, Great Gifts" game for online shoppers.
These days, at Go! Bac Giang supermarket, the "Great Deals for Every Home" programme is offering discounts of up to 50% on domestic household items like dishwashing liquid, shower gel, cooking oil, and fresh food products, attracting many customers.
It has regularly run promotional campaigns, boosting sales by 2–3 times compared to previous periods.
Along with the supermarket system, traditional markets, retail stores, and trading companies are also increasing the supply of domestic goods.
To stimulate consumer demand by improving the quality of domestic products, the People's Committee of Bac Giang city has effectively implemented the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) programme. Currently, the city has 38 OCOP products rated 3 stars or higher.
Two booths showcasing the city's key and potential OCOP products have been set up at the eighth "Booth for Workers" 2024, and the 2024 Women’s Innovation and Green Transition Festival.
Products on display included multi-coloured dry noodles, Da Mai peanut candy, Ke rice crackers, Ke noodles, and Bao Phat steamed buns.
The city's Steering Committee for the campaign has encouraged many units and businesses such as Go! supermarket, Dung Tien Trading and Service Co., Ltd., and OneChang Vina Co., Ltd to support and offer discounts for workers.
With the encouragement of the provincial and city Steering Committees, being aware of their role and responsibility in the campaign, hundreds of local businesses and units have developed plans to stimulate the consumption of Vietnamese goods in the near future.

According to Nguyen Thi Thuy Ninh, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Giang city and deputy head of the city's Steering Committee, after 15 years of implementation, the campaign has become part of local people and businesses’ life.
