Aquaculture output increases about 1,000 tonnes
BAC GIANG – Bac Giang province currently has 11,800 hectares of water surface for aquaculture farming, reported the provincial competent agency. In the first 8 months of this year, the province's aquatic product output reached more than 36,000 tonnes, up about 1,000 tonnes compared to the same period last year.
The aquatic products are smoothly consumed. The average selling price reached 40,000 VND per kg and total revenue hit nearly 1.5 trillion VND (64.8 million USD). In particular, localities with increased aquatic product output were Hiep Hoa, Tan Yen, Yen Dung, Lang Giang, Luc Nam districts and Viet Yen township.

The aquatic product output is increased because this year, many households and farm owners have actively introduced high-yield and high-quality fish breeds into intensive and semi-intensive farming.
Some districts of Luc Nam, Lang Giang and Viet Yen township have effectively participated in the project to develop automation in intensive aquaculture in the period of 2021-2025.

BAC GIANG - The Cooperative Alliance in Bac Giang province has just participated in the 2024 trade promotion fair for the collective economic sector and cooperatives in the Central and Highlands region in Binh Dinh province. The delegation was accompanied by Thuy Duong Clean Agriculture Cooperative (Yen Dung); Tan Yen Ginseng Cooperative; Choi Village Rice Wine Cooperative (Luc Nam); Duca High-Tech Services Cooperative (Viet Yen town).

BAC GIANG – Bac Giang province currently has more than 2,000 hectares of custard apple, mostly in a number of communes such as Huyen Son, Nghia Phuong, Dong Phu (Luc Nam) and some communes of Luc Ngan district, reported the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
BAC GIANG - In the context of labor shortage in agricultural and rural areas, the introduction of motor vehicles into production stages has promoted the formation of large-scale fields. At the same time, it helps cooperatives and farmers in the Bac Giang province reduce labor, costs and increase economic efficiency.
BAC GIANG - Compared to previous years, Bac Giang’s lychee output in 2024 decreased sharply but established the highest price level ever, contributing to increase the revenue from lychees. From this result, the northern province gains more experience in directing production and promoting consumption for the following lychee seasons.
