Hosted by the Vietnam Women’s Union and the Vietnam Association for Intellectual Women under the theme “Women Scientists for Sustainable Development in the Digital Age”, the three-day event features plenary sessions and three parallel thematic workshops.

The annual meeting is to provide APNN members with the opportunity to exchange experiences and propose solutions to improve the capacity and role of female scientists in socio-economic development, as well as launching initiatives to further promote the participation and contribution of women scientists to growth and sustainable development in the digital age.
This year's conference is also a chance for Vietnamese women to expand their cooperation, contributing to the common activities of APNN and the national-international integration, while introducing and promoting the country, the people and Vietnamese culture to international friends.

Participants are expected to take part in discussions on gender and gender-equality in science and technology, food safety and nutrition, and natural disaster risk management and climate change adaptation.
The Hanoi Declaration is expected to be adopted at the end of the meeting, with the aim of demonstrating the vision and strong determination of APNN members in intensifying women’s participation and contribution in the areas of science and technology.
On the occasion, an exhibition themed "Women in Science and Innovation" is also organized to introduce scientific and technological products by Vietnamese women.
