The festival was celebrated on March 5 – 6 with diverse activities of culture, art performance, sports and traditional folk games such as Bit mat bat lon rung (catching the wild hog while blindfolded), archery among others. Besides, the goat fighting festival was expanded to each regional commune where the locals in the Yen The district and Dong Hy district (Thai Nguyen province) brought their goats in the competition, creating an exciting atmosphere.

Also, the district remote villages and art troops of Deo Gia commune (Luc Ngan district), Luc Son commune (Luc Nam district) were invited to the festival for exchanging and performing the traditional folk songs of soong hao, then and sinh ca.

A wide range of activities was held including tea buffet, an exhibition of local specialties, promotion for the tours of Xuan Lung – Thac Nga, heritage ironwood tree or Ban Ven safe tea so as to introduce the potentials and advantages to develop the local ecology and community tourism.

The festival drew thousands of locals and visitors participating in the diverse activities of culture, art performance and folk games. This was a precious occasion for the local authority to promote their potentials, strengths and identities in the cultural and spiritual life of the local peoples.
