Bac Giang: 3 groups of inventors prized at National Invention Contest for Youth, Teenager and Children

(BGO) – A ceremony was jointly held by Vietnam Fund for Scientific and Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) under Vietnam Union of Science and Technological Associations, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Training, Central  Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hanoi to conclude and award the 16th National Invention Contest for Youth, Teenager and Children in 2020.

3 groups of inventors from Bac Giang province were awarded, including second prize to Than Duc Anh, Nguyen Hoang Thinh, Nguyen Thao Chi and their instructed teacher Tong Ngoc Thang in Hiep Hoa No.4 High School (Hiep Hoa district) for the model of “Multifunctional support robot”.

Vice Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Phung Khanh Tai and Permanent Vice Chairman of VIFOTEC Le Xuan Thao award second prize to the group of inventors in Bac Giang province.

Besides, the group of inventors Nguyen Ngoc Minh in Ngo Si Lien Secondary School and Hoang Quoc Khanh, Nguyen Hoang Duong in Le Quy Don Secondary School (Bac Giang city) was awarded third prize for the model “Self operating elevator without using electric” under the guidance of teacher Tran Ba Minh in Le Quy Don Secondary School.

The consolidation prize was handed over to inventor Bui Manh Duc in Danh Thang Secondary School (Hiep Hoa district) for his model “Data input software and computer control by voice - Jspeech” with the instruction from teacher Dang Thanh Hoa in Danh Thang Secondary School.

The group of inventors in Hiep Hoa No.4 High School is awarded second prize for the model “Multifunctional support robot” at the contest.

This year, the Contest Organization Board received 754 projects from 57 provinces and cities. The Jury Board reviewed and evaluated the creative models then selected 106 outstanding models at various fields to prize.

The Organization Board presented 1 special, 5 first, 10 second, 30 third and 60 consolidation prizes to the groups of inventors and inventors. Particularly, the Bac Giang provincial Union of Science and Technological Association was granted Certificate of Merit for excellent achievement in implementing the contest at grassroots level.

Bac Giang Youth Union honors 6 youths for good deed
(BGO) – The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Youth Union) in Bac Giang city, Bac Giang province on December 10 held a ceremony to honore Pham Thu Thao and Tran Phuong Thao in class 11A8, Thai Thuan High School; Vu Quang Khanh in class 7A3, Tran Phu Secondary School (Bac Giang city) for their good deed of returning the dropped properties to their owners. 
National Creative Youth Festival honours 37 projects
The 45 best projects and initiatives were granted Creative Youth Awards at a ceremony in Hanoi on November 29, as part of the 2020 National Creative Youth Festival.
Host Bac Giang ranks second at National Youth Traditional Chess Championships
(BGO) – A ceremony was held on November 8 at the Bac Giang provincial Conventional Hall to close the National Youth Traditional Chess Championships 2020 by Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Traditional Chess Federation and Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the province.

The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association held an event in Hanoi on November 6 to popularise information about Cuba and exchange activities between Vietnamese and Cuban youths.
